
Biography


Theophilus Tinashe Nenjerama is a graduate student (Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Practical Theology) at Columbia Theological Seminary, GA, USA. In the Fall of 2024, he begins his PhD in Religion (Persons, Community and Religious Life) at Emory University, GA, USA.
He is an emerging scholar whose research intersects religion and politics. His research interests include church-state relations, political theology, ethics, social movements, and resistance. His current project explores what he calls a Transatlantic Black Practical Theology of Protest, intersecting African and African American theological thinking as a transnational dialogue for practical theologians.
His experience include teaching in Zimbabwe, missions work with the Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church in Ireland. He has also engaged in intercultural work in Ireland working with migrant-focused communities as a social advocacy and arts workshop facilitator.
